Oak Bedrooms and Wardrobes in Surrey

At Oliver Charles Designs we work closely with our clients to create bespoke oak bedrooms that meet every requirement. On this particular oak bedroom project our client was very specific on the design and material required for their bedroom installation. You will see from the images below the extra special curved doors to the double wardrobe, hand made in our workshop in mitcham. One key aspect required was to match the existing interior features of the room, such as internal doors & handles.

With emphasis on a truly bespoke product, we suggested wall mounted floating bedside cabinets to compliment the bed frame, which was also manufactured here. The interiors of the wardrobes were all designed by the client, with individual drawers for ties & belts, with additional shelving and hanging.

It is a priviledge for us to work with real woods, and never more so than with the most traditional of hardwoods, oak, the timber from which the Wooden Walls Of England were made and with which the walls of the Palace of Westminster are panelled. These oak wardrobes achieved the exact style the Client was looking for their oak bedroom project.

The crown-cut veneers used in these oak wardrobes accentuate the beautiful grain and the inset panels of pippy oak, and complement the flowery grain with delicate, natural patterns.

When designing oak bedrooms in Surrey we want to ensure that the furniture accentuates the beautiful grain and natural patterns which are associated with oak. In this case we used simple design aspects such as bow fronts and inset glass panels to ensure that the natural beauty of the oak shines through.
